Typical Learning Journey

Weeks 1-6: Programming Foundations
Master JavaScript basics, understand variables, functions, and control structures. Create your first interactive web pages with event handling and DOM manipulation. Students often feel intimidated at first, but most have their "aha!" moment around week 4.
Weeks 7-12: Game Mechanics Deep Dive
Play collision detection systems, implement scoring mechanisms, and create responsive game controls. This phase challenges students to think like programmers while solving practical game development problems.
Weeks 13-18: Advanced Features & Polish
Add animations, sound effects, and save systems to your games. Learn performance optimization and cross-browser compatibility. Many students start to see themselves as actual developers during this phase.
Weeks 19-24: Capstone Project & Portfolio
Design and Play your own original game from concept to completion. Present your work to classmates and receive feedback. Graduate with a portfolio piece that showcases your programming abilities.
